Opening Unity to everyone - one API, every role

We’re opening the Editor to everyone! For 20 years, the Unity Editor is where a whole generation of games has taken shape. But a game isn’t built in the Editor alone. That’s why we’re building an API and set of services that open a Unity production to the tools, roles, and agents around it - no full Editor access required. Preview the real game, automate from the terminal, and use whatever tool fits the job. It’s built so every role on the team can contribute - whether you're an artist iterating on assets without wrestling with version control, or an engineer automating workflows from the command line, Unity plugs into your team's tools and your production pipeline, not the other way around ✅ Review the real game in context, together: Producers, artists, and QA review real game renders on the web or on device, not proxy screenshots. Share a link and feedback lands in live game context. ✅ Build and automate your tools with AI: An API and CLI built for agents to validate assets, fix issues, submit for review, and trigger builds ✅ Bring in external collaborators, securely: Outsourced collaborators get role-based access. They work in their own tools, validate on device, and submit to your Version Control. 🔗 Now available in closed beta.
