After months of being falsely accused of using AI to build my game engines, I decided to actually vibe code a Blender alternative. In this video, I discuss the controversy around AI-generated software, vibe coding, and why artificial intelligence is a skill multiplier (not a replacement for programming experience).
I also showcase Stove, a lightweight 3D modeling and texture-painting tool designed specifically for indie game development (made with Fable 5, mostly). It features low-poly modeling tools, automatic UV generation, direct texture painting, masks, gradients, shortcuts, and a deliberately minimal interface for creating game-ready 3D assets without Blender’s complexity.
