How fast can a programmer create a complete stylized 3D game asset? In this video, I put Stove to the test by recreating an old computer from scratch while running a timer. The goal is not to make an exact replica, but to see how quickly I can build something usable for a low poly, retro, stylized, or hand painted game without spending hours on traditional 3D workflows.
We model the computer, CRT monitor, keyboard, and smaller details, then texture everything using automatic UVs, masks, gradients, ambient occlusion, pixelation, randomized painting, and automatic edge painting. Despite starting from an empty project, the complete asset is essentially finished in around 13 minutes, showing how much Stove can accelerate the process of creating game ready 3D models.
