1,000 bouncing balls in Scratch... and not a clone limit in sight! Let's build them using just the Pen extension and lists. 🚀 Build more games with me in Griffpatch Academy: https://griffpatch.academy/go/bounce Take a look with your responsible adult. Three hundred clones? BORING!!! We're going to draw a thousand balls, give them gravity, and get them bouncing off the walls. All with one sprite. Oh man, so cool! Code along with me, step by step, as we use lists to remember where every ball is and how it's moving. This is the first of two tutorials. In part two, we'll add ball-to-ball collisions and get them bouncing off each other! Inside Griffpatch Academy, there are loads more projects and games to build with me, coding workbooks, and a whole community of coders. And our game jams? That's where you let your imagination run wild with the theme. You make the games, and I play through every submission. Yes, every one! If that liquid physics simulation in the opening caught your eye, these two tutorials are where we get started. The later optimisation and liquid effects lessons continue inside the Academy. Right! These balls aren't going to bounce themselves.
