This month was focused entirely on combat design and game feel. I worked on improving input buffering, combo responsiveness, air juggle mechanics, Poise Break, Spirit combat, special abilities, and combat customization systems. The goal is to create an action combat system that rewards timing, coordination, and mastery while keeping every fight engaging. I also implemented a new Channeling and Burnout mechanic to make Spirit abilities more strategic, added new combo opportunities, and experimented with hand-drawn VFX animation created in Krita. SILKROAD Project is a single-player Action RPG inspired by JRPGs, character action games, Chinese mythology, and classic adventure stories. Players travel across a fantasy Silk Road, manage a guesthouse, build relationships with travelers, and fight alongside a powerful Spirit companion.
