The automated algorithm thought my game was promoting actual gambling, just because the trailer had a joke at the end! This is a huge problem since visibility during Next Fest is critical for a small indie game. Following up on my previous game, Desktop Defender, I just released the demo for my new project, Card Corner, and now I'm completely locked out of a huge marketing platform. It's an idle poker game that sits at the bottom of your screen while you work or watch videos. It's heavily inspired by amazing idle games like Rusty's Retirement and Cornerpond, with a bit of Balatro mixed in for the poker concept. You build your deck, upgrade multipliers, and let it run. I'm a small dev, so losing TikTok hurts, but the good news is the Steam Next Fest demo is still live!
