Everyone shows you the finished automation.
Nobody shows you what it cost to get there.
So far I've spent $2,640 automating my own business.
$200 a month on Cursor. $20 a month on Claude. AI agents, chatbots, automated outreach, automated content.
And after all of thatโฆ
Some parts still don't run themselves.
Some tasks I still can't automate.
Some workflows still break.
Was it frustrating? Yeah. Absolutely.
Did I think about quitting? Never.
Because automation costs money. It costs time. It costs effort.
And you don't always see the return right away.
Every automation taught me something.
Every failed attempt prepared me for the next system.
Every task that broke showed me exactly where the real bottleneck was hiding.
You might think that's $2,640 wasted.
I don't. Because you never know which system will save you 10 hours a week for the rest of your business.
Here's the only thing I'm sure of. If you never try, you'll never know how much time and money you could have got back.
So don't let 1 broken automation make you think the whole thing failed.
Keep automating. Keep testing. Keep building.
Because a trick still needs you. A system doesn't.
