Stove 3D is not a Blender fork, and it was not simply “vibe coded” into existence. In this video, I respond to some recurring YouTube comments and explain what Stove actually is, why I call it a Blender alternative, and how it was built from scratch as a lightweight 3D modeling tool for game assets.
I also break down how AI was used during development, including the documentation, architecture, code review process, and the difference between AI-assisted development and blindly asking an AI to build software for you. Along the way, I respond to some of the stranger comments and misconceptions around Stove.
