INDIE GAME DEVLOG: My Journey Into Games Development

https://www.youtube.com/watc...
This indie game devlog is going to chronicle my journey into the world of game development. I am completely new to making games, outside of some level design, 3d classes in college. For this project I'm using Unreal Engine 5 and whatever tutorials I can find on the internet. The game itself will be a side scroller, platformer and dungeon crawler. I'm trying to pull of a 2.5D style, but we'll see where the journey will take this project. Any important links are down below. Do you develop games, or have you thought about making games? What type of game would your dream project be? Let me know in the comments. Episode 2: https://youtu.be/M2YrMdqiN0E With all the feedback I had gotten, I made some changes in episode 2. Less music and time lapse, more talking / explaining. I'm still learning and finding my workflow. :) USEFUL LINKS: Making 2D Game in Unreal Engine | https://youtu.be/g31NTpq9p-o 2D Sprites in 3D World | https://youtu.be/-xLl1PLPGS0 Unreal 2D Stick Figure | Live Training | https://youtu.be/qWUEkTd2Xu8 Setting Up 2D Animation | https://docs.unrealengine.com/5.0/en-US/paper-2d-setting-up-an-animation-state-machine-in-unreal-engine/ Setting Up Character Movement | https://docs.unrealengine.com/5.0/en-US/setting-up-character-movement/ 2D Dummy Character | https://sventhole.itch.io/prototype-hero Awesome Market Place for Assets and Games | https://itch.io/ LET'S CONNECT: Instagram | https://www.instagram.com/ouvio_art/ Twitch | https://www.twitch.tv/ouvio_ Discord | https://discord.gg/4W6azdbKgC Merch Store | https://ouvio.ca/
