PIMAX VR 8KX YES 4K Per Eye Resolution But Few Problems !

This is the ๐Ÿฅฝ PIMAX VR 8KX and I wanted to do an open box to show you what comes in the box and some of the main specs for this high end PCVR hardware. ๐Ÿ’กOverall this VR device works well, however it wasnโ€™t as easy to setup with SteamVR as other devices I have tested, the image looks incredible and I say the 4K on each eye does make a big difference. To be honest the Pimax software felt pretty rough, if you compare this with other devices such as Oculus, Vive, or Varjo I say the software is very low quality, I love the device aesthetics but the software and issues during setup with Microsoft Flight Simulator and other games really ruined the experience for me. ๐Ÿ“Œ As a summary I say this device is ok, but not something I would recommend until I see software improvements and at least more time spent in the native experience which currently just shows a very low quality planet in space. ๐Ÿ“Œ PIMAX VR 8KX specs: Per-eye Resolution: 3840 x 2160 (native), 2560 x 1440 (upscaled) Display Technology: Customized low persistence liquid (CLPL) Lens Technology: Fresnel Refresh Rate: 60 Hz, 75 Hz (Native), 90 Hz (Native with RTX 3000 GPU) or 114 Hz (Upscaled) Horizontal FOV: 159 degrees horizontal and 103 degrees vertical Interpupillary Distance (IPD): 2.2-3 inches / 55-75mm Sensors: 9-axis accelerometer Tracking Technology: SteamVR Cables: USB 2.0 (power), USB 3.0 (data), 14.8 foot/ 4.5m DisplayPort 1.2 (video) I/O: Dual 3.5mm headphone jack, 1x USB Type-C, microphone, speakers Dimensions: 11 x 4.3 x 5.4 inches / 280.1 x 108.2 x 135.9mm Weight: 2.2 pounds (997.9g) @Pimax thanks for sending me this device and hopefully these critics help you to improve on future devices. #metaverse #pimax8k #virtualreality
