yoo this is like the 6th devlog i think of my game karlson, which all started like 3 months ago when jotaro said i couldnt make a 3d game. in this one we'll be learning to make maps, bake light reee & make the first boss in Karlson (Willy). The reason this video was delayed a week is simply because I just didn't have much to show, since making maps for karlson is soooo slow

so Brackeys gamejam started Saturday, 2 weeks ago, but since i am moving to a different city, i didnt have time to join brackeys gamejam until like 4 days late, so 3 days to make a game. pretty stressful but i had a lot of fun. a gamejam is pretty much just a contest where you and others make games within a given time limit. i really enjoy making games for gamejams, so had a lot of fun with this one! make sure to check out RE:RUN on Itch, it's a free download so anyone can play (as long as you have a computer lol)

So he challenged me to make a multiplayer survival game, and i had to prove him wrong of course. last time we made a vr game, check it out somewhere lol. Im gonna use the Unity game enigine to make it. I've made a few multiplayer games in the past, but nothing on this scale. it's heavily inspired by a bunch of survival multiplayer / roguelike games that i enjoy, like Valheim, Minecraft, Rush, Risk of rain & more. It's pretty scuffed, might get some updates out in the future. thanks for watching :)

so a couple months ago i got challenged to make a multiplayer survival game, and proved him wrong by making Muck, which is a multiplayer roguelike survival game i released on steam. wasn't really gonna put it on steam, but it made things a bit easier, so i did it anyway lol. but then it got really popular and reached the front page of steam, but the game was really bad, so in this video we're gonna fix muck and make it better. gamer moment

so squid game popped off like a month ago, and so i started making crab game 3 weeks ago, which is basically squid game but not really because that would get me in legal trouble. anyway its a multiplayer party game but battle royale and kinda like fall guys bean simulator. since I already made Muck, i gained a lot of experience in making multiplayer games, which was super helpful. This game was pretty fun to make, and i think it turned out really cool. also its free so go download now gamer.

so after finishing muck in my video "Adding a Dragon Boss to my Game Because Steam is Mad at me", i learned a lot about making multiplayer games, networking, and more. so when Squid Game become popular on Netflix, I knew I had to turn Squid Game into an actual multiplayer game. I created this game in my video: "I Made Squid Game, But it's a Multiplayer Game", and called it Crab Game. But Crab Game got millions of downloads (10m at the time of writing this), and now netflix might be out to get me, so i have to update crab game and make it different, so netflix doesnt destroy me for copying squid game. haha cool
